Anticipated to create at least 100 jobs apiece, these economic development announcements were some of the largest in Virginia in 2024 and 2025.
Pittsylvania County: United Kingdom company RBW Sports & Classics/Electric Cars, a manufacturer of hand-built electric classic sports cars, announced in August 2024 it would invest $8 million to establish a manufacturing facility expected to create 144 jobs at Cane Creek Centre, an industrial park jointly owned by Danville and Pittsylvania County. The facility will manufacture RBW’s first left-hand-drive sports cars for the U.S. market.
