A year on from the initial prototype being exhibited, RBW Electric Classic Cars returned to Cenex LCV 2019, showcasing the car’s engineering development.
Continental Engineering Services is the principle engineer of RBW Electric Classic Cars and exhibited the car on its stand at Cenex.
“The past twelve months have been heavily focused on developing the vehicles drive parameters, safety systems including the integration of Hyperdrive batteries. This included bespoke high and low voltage harnesses being developed and a unique LCD display providing system management. All this culminated in the car being being tested by VCA personnel to Reg 100.01. We are on track for a sporting yet approved and safe classic electric sports car” stated Peter Swain MD & Founder.
RBW Electric Classic Cars has worked closely with Continental Engineering Services, part of Continental AG, who provides the world championship winning technology applied to Formula E racing cars. The aim is to create a stunning vehicle that has the aesthetic appeal of a classic car but with all the engineering of a modern electric vehicle.
To ensure drivers comfortable driving and complete safety, rather than taking an old body shell with distressed and tired metal, RBW has partnered with British Motor Heritage to provide brand new body shells.
